Notre Dame Activities

While the Academic programs at Notre Dame emphasize a broad experience of the fundamental disciplines, co-curricular offerings encourage and develop the individual talents and interests of students. A great variety of activities and organizations provide the opportunity for the student body to participate. In their involvement, students find a challenge and enjoy working together, showing great school spirit.

Every year the faculty and parents are engaged in student activities, They extend beyond the class room walls into the playing fields and neighborhoods of the city. Social and cultural, artistic and competitive aspects of the human personality all find expression and direction, so that the Notre Dame Students leave High School as a well rounded individual.

Co-curricular activities cover a wide spectrum. Various language clubs enrich classroom instruction. Each year, the students and faculty interract in various programs including a Christmas program, which puts emphasis on friendship, closeness, and service.

The "ND Highlight" is the official paper written and edited by the students and teacher advisor.

The Spanish Club, Pep Club, Quiz Bowl and Mock Trial Teams provide further opportunities for involvement.

The Robert Holzemer Chapter of the National Honor Society is made up of students selected for Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Service.

The Student Council is made up of elected representatives of the student body who serve as liaison between faculty and students, and sponsor charitable, and activities for the school.
