Welcome to Notre Dame Athletics

At Notre Dame, education extends outside of the classroom door. Studies show that students who participate in athletics and other co-curricular activities have higher grade point averages, better attendance, lower dropout rates, fewer disciplinary problems, higher graduation rates, and better success in college than non-participants. The school’s interscholastic athletic program provides carefully supervised competition in games, sports and other physical activities. Through these teams, along with the regular physical education classes, every student has the chance to become more fit and to enjoy the benefits of competitive athletics.

Student-athletes at Notre Dame devote great time and effort into achieving their athletic goals, but never at the expense of their academic pursuits. They learn important lessons in teamwork, self-discipline, leadership and sportsmanship while maintaining their academic standing.

Notre Dame is a member of the Southern Ohio Conference, a highly-competitive athletic conference. Maximum participation is the basic priority, and thus the school fields thirteen interscholastic sports: football, volleyball, golf, tennis (girls and boys), cross-country, cheerleading, basketball (girls and boys), softball, baseball, swimming and track.
