Facilities

The facilities available to the Notre Dame Junior/Senior High students are varied and impressive. The building itself has a classic structure presenting a feeling of stability and solidity. Within are ample sized classrooms connected by wide corridors for safe efficient student movement. A large science lab is provided along with an organized efficient library for the academically hungry while a comfortable cafeteria is present to satisfy the physically hungry student. The entire building is equipped with computers that connect classrooms as well as with the office and main computer lab.

The entire school community is very proud to offer spiritual needs through the open doors of our chapel. The chapel is a statement of beauty and simple elegance with high beamed open ceilings and inspiring stained glass windows.

Athletic facilities include a large well lighted and ventilated gymnasium surrounded by multiple locker rooms and connected to a superbly equipped weight room. Students also have access to a modern pool facility. Students also compete in football and track within a professional grade sports stadium. Improved playing and practice fields are on school premises which make participation in many sports possible without the inconvenience of constant travel.

Facilities available to the Notre Dame Preschool and Elementary School are historical and well-maintained. Formerly known as Holy Redeemer High School, Notre Dame Elementary is home to both the preschool and the elementary students. With the convenience of this one campus, young families can drop their children off to one location and be sure their children are safely directed to their classrooms.

On a regular basis students attend Mass "in their own front yard." As Holy Redeemer Church is readily available for school use.

Classrooms are are well designed. From playhouses to ponds, these rooms are laid out so the students have the most creative learning environments possible.

Notre Dame Elementary uses the community as a their classroom as well. Taking field trips throughout the year is a regular highlight enjoyed by the students. Places such as the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts, Southern Ohio Museum, Ohio University Piketon Research Plant, the Ohio River and even the local animal shelter receive visits from classes throughout the school year.

Athletic facilities are also available to the Notre Dame Elementary students. Notre Dame Junior/Senior High School works with the elementary school to see that those students have access to their gymnasium and fields.

After school Latchkey is also a safe after school option available to parents who work. Students are monitored after school by school officials until their parents arrive to pick them up.

Bus transportation is available to both schools and both campuses are well secured with 24 hour recorded and locked entrances.
