Tuition
Assistance Available to Both Notre Dame Elementary School and Notre Dame Junior/Senior
High School Students
A Catholic student in any grade (K-12) of a Catholic School in the Diocese of Columbus is eligible for tuition assistance. Families applying for tuition assistance in K-12 will use a single PSAS application form issued by the Department of Education, Diocese of Columbus. There is a fee per family for processing and a deadline for postmarking applications. Forms are available through the elementary and secondary schools of the Diocese or the parish rectory. Grants are given for one year only. Re-application may be made in subsequent years. A separate Diocesan committee administers the program. Grants will be awarded on the basis of need as determined by application of a standardized formula.
Scrip
Scrip is an opportunity to reduce the amount of monthly tuition you pay for one or several children. Each week families place an order at the school for any gift certificate available. Based on the percentage of the certificate purchased, families receive a percentage back, towards tuition. Funding is generated from customers using gift certificates rather than cash to purchase products and services at stores that participate in Scrip. Our participating merchants are selected from the largest regional and/or national grocery chains, drug stores, department stores, warehouse stores, restaurants, gas stations and miscellaneous retailers in the country and even our area (see attached Scrip order form). To earn a tuition discount, families must first earn $100 for the school. All other proceeds are divided equally between the school and the family.
Tuition Assistance Available ONLY to Notre Dame Junior/Senior High School Students
The
Joan Roth Herschede Scholarship
The
Joan Roth Herschede Scholarship is awarded each year to eligible students
with a 3.25 grade point average or higher. Each year, one full-tuition scholarship,
and as many partial scholarships as funding allows, are awarded. The purpose
of the scholarship is to help as many deserving students as possible within
the funding limitations.
All
Roth Herschede scholarships are for a period of one year. However, recipients
of the scholarship may reapply each year. The committee may decide to award
no scholarships in a particular year if it is determined that no deserving
applications are received.
Applications
are available to all students, regardless of religious affiliation, grades
7-12 and sixth-graders who will be entering Notre Dame High School. Selection
will be made by a committee based on academic record, community service, and

will weigh equally.
